What You’ll Do
As a Technical Writer at Victron, you’ll play a key role in creating and maintaining high-quality documentation that supports our diverse product range. Your work will help customers, installers, and developers better understand and use our technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update technical documentation (manuals, datasheets, application notes, etc.).
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and support teams to gather accurate information.
- Occasionally contribute to commercial content such as video scripts, blog posts, and marketing materials.
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy across all documentation.
- Engage with the Victron Community to stay informed and gather feedback.
What we’re looking for
- You have 10+ years of proven experience in technical writing, preferably in the electrical or electronics domain.
- Background in electrical engineering or a related technical field (nice to have).
- Familiar with the Victron Community and ideally have been an active contributor.
- Passionate about electrical products and systems.
- Self-driven and proactive in seeking out the information you need.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Able to work from one of our offices in Almere, Eindhoven, or Groningen.

Sales Manager – Nigeria & East Africa
We’re looking for a proactive and driven Sales Manager with a technical background to help grow our presence across East Africa, especially in the off-grid energy sector. This is not a traditional employee role but a long-term contractor position ideal for a self-employed professional who thrives in an independent role while working as part of a collaborative, global team. You’ll work closely with our local distribution and installation partners across industries like off-grid solar, mining, telecom, and vehicle/mobile energy.
We are looking for someone already based in Nigeria, with the drive and network to build partnerships and explore business opportunities in other African countries especially Tanzania, Kenia, Ethiopia among others.
Your Role
As our Sales Manager for the region, you’ll represent Victron Energy with integrity and technical expertise. You’ll connect with distributors, installers, and end-users, identifying growth opportunities across industries with a strong focus on off-grid energy solutions and expanding into the mining, telecom, and renewables sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support our existing partners (distributors, OEMs, and key installers) across countries in Africa like Nigeria , Kenia, Tanzania , Ethiopia and possibly others.
- Collaborate with partners to identify business opportunities in sectors like off-grid solar, residential solar solutions, solar solutions for telecom and mining.
- Strengthen channel relationships and ensure alignment with Victron’s values, standards, and technical expectations.
- Identify and engage in new business opportunities through proactive cold calling
- Deliver product and system training, troubleshoot technical scenarios, and build confidence in the Victron ecosystem.
- Plan and attend technical visits, partner development sessions, and industry trade events.
- Gather and share local insights: customer feedback, competitor activity, pricing, and market developments.
- Work closely with Victron Africa team members on account strategy, forecasting, and reporting.
- Support partner-led marketing, product launches, and educational events.
- Deliver training and technical support to customers, ensuring they fully understand Victron Energy’s product offerings and installation processes.
What We’re Looking For
- Residence in Nigeria or Kenia is a must.
- Fluent in English.
- Background in electrical engineering or related technical field.
- Experience in renewable energy, especially off-grid systems.
- Knowledge of Victron products or experience in related system design/integration is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with energy solutions within sectors like mining or telecom energy is a plus.
- Self-driven and reliable: able to plan your time, travel when needed, and work remotely.
- Confident in delivering training, solving technical challenges, and explaining complex systems clearly.
- Strong communication, account management, and planning skills.
- The willingness to travel abroad for meetings and trade shows.

Level 3 Support Agent
(Remote, 40 hours/month)

About the Role
As a Level 3 Support Agent, you will support Victron Energy distributors and installers by resolving complex technical cases escalated from support of our distributors and sales managers. You will handle advanced troubleshooting, system behaviour analysis, and deep technical questions related to Victron products and integrations. You have clearance to contact internal resources as development and other team members if needed.
This role is part-time (approx. 40 hours per month) and can be performed entirely remotely.
As a Level 3 Support Agent you are intrinsically motivated to find a solution to any challenge.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Handle Level 3 escalations from the ticketing system for distributors and installers.
- Analyse logs, system behaviour, and configuration data to identify root causes.
- Guide customers through advanced troubleshooting steps and solution implementation.
- Collaborate with firmware, software, and product teams when an issue requires internal escalation.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Create and improve knowledge-base articles, troubleshooting guides, and internal documentation.
- Provide feedback on recurring issues and propose improvements to tools, workflows, or product documentation.
Communication & Case Management
- Communicate clearly and professionally with partners in written form.
- Manage your ticket queue independently while meeting agreed SLA and quality expectations.
- Provide clear summaries, reproduce steps, and actionable recommendations.
Quality & Product Feedback
- Identify product bugs or behaviour anomalies and report them to the relevant internal teams with detailed replication data.
- Suggest feature improvements based on partner feedback and recurring field issues.
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Victron Energy systems, including (preferred):
- GX devices & VRM
- Inverter/charger systems
- Batteries (both lead and lithium)
- Solar chargers & PV system behaviour
- ESS configurations
- DVCC, CAN-bus devices, VE.Bus, VE.Direct
- Ability to read and interpret system logs and data trends.
- Experience with remote diagnostics tools and advanced troubleshooting.
Soft Skills
- Excellent written communication in English.
- Other Languages are a plus, especially German, Spanish and French
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex cases.
- Structured, accurate, and calm when dealing with difficult or unclear situations.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in technical support, field engineering, or system integration.
- Familiarity with energy systems, electrical installations, or off-grid/backup systems.
- Experience working remotely and asynchronously.
Working Conditions
- Part-time: ~40 hours per month.
- Flexible schedule—workload may vary depending on ticket volume.
- Remote role: can be done from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
- Collaboration and communication mainly via the ticketing system, Slack, and internal tools.
